| Posted by Steve on August 13, 2008 Was this really a worthwhile use of taxpayer money? Some of the greatest cities in the country have adult stores, so what? Our city needs to get serious about real issues. The planning commission recently rejected a proposal to permit a car wash on the property where the old Olds-Cadillac dealer was located. It is commercial property and across the road from the housing projects. Until our local leaders open their eyes and stop pushing their personal agendas, this town will always be ecliped by others in the area with more open attitudes regarding development. Why not just leave Craton alone? They ran a quiet business with no incidents. | Posted by panacea on August 13, 2008 All the money that was wasted on this matter was blown out of contents. This store is on a hill, not close to anything and there is nothing out of the way in the windows. I went to the store to see what was so bad about the store. It is plainly for adults which is stated. If you do not like going in there...don\'t go...simple as that. I bet the same people that was complaining about the store has been in there and made purchases....of course on the down low. There was a store on Shorter ave. something like this for years and it finally went out of business. Nobody complained about it. What about all the liquor stores that are in the majority black neighborhoods almost on every corner.....that\'s alright though huh? Nobody makes a big fuss about that. This man is running a business....and if you don\'t like what he sales....don\'t go in. If you are worried about kids going in...you need to know where your kids are going. Even though I did not make a purchase I did see some nice lingere that caught my eye...couldn\'t afford it but it was sexy.....maybe some of those haters need to go in and make a purchase and spice up their own life and stop condemning those who find pleasure in the things that this store make available to the public. If you don\'t condone the business keep going and leave this business alone. |
