Posted by David L. Akins on May 11, 2008 Congratulations to Burgett and the Rome News Tribune for continuing their ability to execute their vision. My father worked for Burgett\'s grandfather, his father, and for Burgett. As I youngster, I often went with my father to the newspaper when it was located on Tribune Street. I was a teenager when the operation relocated to the present site in 1968 executing Burgett Mooney, Jr.\'s vision and becoming at that time one of the most modern newspaper production operations in the country.
