Posted by Louise Mills on July 12, 2007 I will never forget the Winecoff Fire ....I lived next door to Lamar Brown, and Principal C.E. Hamil lived just around the corner from me. For awhile, we didn\'t know if Mr. Hamil was alive or not. I was a 7th grader and the impact of these losses has never escaped my memory. Thanks to Ann Salmon Culpepper for being involved. Ann was also my next door neighbor at one time.
