She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Noel Glen Powell of Woodstock and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Luther Sauls of Dahlonega.Cox III, of Seoul, South Korea, is a 2001 graduate of Armuchee High School and a 2005 graduate of Mercer University with a bachelor&amp;rsquo;s degree in business administration. He is a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He is employed by the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant Blackhawk pilot in Seoul, South Korea.The groom-elect is the brother of Virginia Bethany Cox Thompson of Decatur. He is the grandson of Mrs. Perry Clifton Perkins of Clinton, Miss., the late Dr. Perry Clifton Perkins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Adair Lyon Cox Sr. The ceremony is planned for Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Johns Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zach Tucker of Rome, Frances Boatner of Lindale and the late Samuel Boatner.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Jones of Rome and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Austin of Rockmart. He is the grandson of Mildred Canada of Rome, Kathleen Austin of Rockmart, Bobby and Peggy Jones of Cedartown and the late Wallace Canada and Jack Austin.The Rev. Ken Oates of Rome performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with black iron candle stands with ivory pillar candles along with two massive arrangements of white flowers and Southern greenery in Grecian urns. Rows of ivory rose petals lined both sides of the aisle. A unity candle arrangement and profile prayer bench completed the setting.A program of wedding music was performed by violinists Timothy and Timiea Reynolds and soloist Cory Tucker, brother of the bride. Selections included &amp;ldquo;Canon in D,&amp;rdquo; &amp;ldquo;The Lord&amp;rsquo;s Prayer,&amp;rdquo; &amp;ldquo;Nothing Fancy&amp;rdquo; and &amp;ldquo;Feels Like Home.&amp;rdquo;Julie Toles of Trion was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bett Chandler of Atlanta, Kelly Howell of Ballground, sister of the groom, Amber Scoggins and Melissa Shell, both of Rome. They wore chocolate satin floor-length A-line skirts with flared backs and soft satin strapless tops with sweetheart necklines. The bridesmaids carried clutch bouquets of peach and spring-toned Gerber daisies, sherbet roses and green hydrangea tied with chocolate satin ribbons.Madalyn Shell of Rome was the flower girl.The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore an ivory, strapless gown made of silk, satin and organza with an A-line skirt that had a draped, petal overskirt which fell onto the chapel-length train with long satin streamers. Venice lace with crystal beading overlayed the strapless bodice trimmed with a champagne shirred midriff to the waistline. She wore a fingertip-length veil bordered with ivory pearls and crystals. She also wore a diamond cross necklace, a gift from the groom. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of green cymbidium orchids, white hydrangea and ivory roses accented with rhinestones.Jerome Jones of Rome, stepfather of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Clint Goss of Moultrie, Nathaniel Hunter of Piedmont, Jay Shell of Rome, Cory Tucker of Chattanooga, Tenn., brother of the bride, and Nathan Twilley of Cartersville.The mother of the bride wore a floor-length satin bronze skirt paired with a darker bronze shirt and jacket with the jacket collar encrusted with pearls and crystals. The mother of the groom wore a tea-length brown and ivory print dress with a layered skirt.Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Heritage Hall in Rome. Refreshments included the bride&amp;rsquo;s three-tier square yellow cake decorated with ivory butter cream icing and topped with assorted chocolate truffles with each tier accented with a chocolate brown ribbon tied around the base. The groom&amp;rsquo;s square yellow cake with chocolate icing was decorated with the University of Georgia logo in red and black and accented with strawberries.The evening before the wedding, the groom&amp;rsquo;s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Harvest Moon Caf&amp;eacute; in Rome.Other pre-nuptial parties included a Southern home and living shower hosted by Julie Toles and Melissa Shell in Rome; a miscellaneous shower hosted by family at the home of Debbie Tucker in Rome; a miscellaneous shower hosted by family at the bride&amp;rsquo;s home in Rome; a lawn and garden shower hosted by Jay and Melissa Shell at their home in Rome; a miscellaneous shower hosted by co-workers at Model Middle School; a bachelorette party hosted by the bridesmaids in Atlanta and a bridal luncheon hosted by Sheila Tucker at Meadow Lakes Country Club in Cedartown. After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Rome.</description>
