Irene C. Solomon
PERRY, Georgia – Irene C. Solomon, 99, passed away in Perry on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Sylvan Abby in Clearwater, Florida. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Solomon, born in Uniontown, Kentucky, had lived in Perry for one year moving from Clearwater. She had lived most of her life in Clarkesville, Tenn., where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a life member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Kappa Delta Pi. A retired school teacher, she was also a soprano soloist.
Survivors include her son, Lester M. Solomon, (Joanne) of Perry; grandchildren, Joyce Fisher of Perry and Philip L. Solomon of Los Angeles, Calif.; great grandchildren, Sarah and Sam Fisher of Perry, Henry, Lily, and Sophia Solomon of Los Angeles, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Solomon, who was the long time soil conservationist of Montgomery County, Tenn.
