I gotta ‘pologize to Lil’ Bubba Junior and Bo-Diddly ‘bout sayin’ they’d have a pretend hog fight on Carroll Street for the Dogwood Festival.
Both of ‘em says if they gon’ have a fight, everbody’s gon’ get they money’s worth cause it’s gon’ be rasslin’ and they gon’ throw each other ‘round and stomp all over each other. They lookin’ for some capes and masks now, and they got a sign callin’ Downtown Death Match.
Me and the boys been worryin’ a little bit ‘bout havin’ to move, cause we heard ol’ Dave Cyr and a them development folks is been pokin’ aroun’ again.
Course, the way things is goin’ we can prolly jus’ move into some a them new houses ain’t been sol’ yet, or check on the foreclosures.
I heard Draper Watson done got a jump on the Chamber teams trying to build new members. Course all he got to do is sit around and wait.
I heard they got somebody to run the fairgrounds but they ain’t tellin’ for some reason. Anybody knows, how ‘bout sendin’ me the word. There’s my e-mail right under that bad pichur a me.
Hope y’all know the legislachur done turned out the lights and gone home. That right there is sumpn to be thankful for, cause they wasn’t doin’ mucha nuthin’ cept struttin’ aroun’ like turkey gobblers with they tail feathers fanned out.
They dint do no tax reform after all that big talk. I reckon that was cause all them city and county and board of ed folks scared ‘em out of it. I been right proud of ol’ Tom McMichael and ol’ Skip Dawkins.
I was sure thinkin’ right there at the end that they was gon’ get ridda that car tag tax, but they dint. Lotsa big talkers up there.

Here we are, wors’n Alabama, ain’t got nuff places to go for the people in wrecks and the ones what get shot and all that. Ain’t nobody even arguin’ bout it, but did they get sumpn done? No.
Course they did a lot ‘bout dog fightin’ and they passed a law that’ll let limousine drivers sell liquor to the people they drivin’ for, and they voted in a tax break for folks makin’ pichur shows in Georgia, but they ain’t done pea- turkey on trauma care.
Bout the only thing good I’m gonna say ‘bout ‘em is that at least they got sumpn done ‘bout the water so we ain’t gon’ wind up with half the state goin’ thirsty. That was ol’ Ross Tolleson doin’ that. ‘Bout half the brains up there is always from Houston County. ‘Ol Larry O’Neal woulda got that trauma care fixed if they’d listened to him.
Bo-Diddley says they all runnin’ for guvner, but I think they almost sorry enough to go to congress.
