A Fulton woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder, following a stabbing in the early morning hours of Dec. 16.
According to the Fulton Police Department, officers were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call on Second Street in Fulton. Upon arrival, officers were met by the victim, who was covered in blood. The victim had suffered cuts to his arms, hands, back, and chest, and was taken to Parkway Regional Hospital for medical treatment, and later released.
After further investigation, the victims girlfriend, Chericak Ferrell, 30, of Fulton, was arrested. Ferrell advised officers she was trying to kill the victim.
Ferrell was charged with second degree assault and attempted murder, and processed and lodged at the Fulton County Detention Center. She was set for arraignment Dec. 22, at 9:30 a.m. in Fulton County Circuit Court.
