In a follow up to the Marine Oil robbery, Dec. 15, Fulton Police Chief Terry Powell said there are no new leads, and the investigation is ongoing.
Details of what was taken could not be released due to the ongoing investigation status, according to Powell.
Fulton Police Department responded to a panic alarm at Marine Oil on West State Line, Dec. 15, at approximately 10 a.m.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a white male had robbed the clerk and two customers at gunpoint.
The handgun brandished appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol. According to the witnesses, the suspect was very polite and apologetic and stated his mother was dying of cancer during his apology.
The suspect fled on foot to an unknown location.
The scene was processed and Trooper David Archer of the Kentucky State Police volunteered to assist with his canine for tracking.
In a statement released by the Fulton Police Department, the suspect was a white male, approximately 56 tall, wearing a ball cap blue jeans, and a gray jacket. He was wearing a face mask, carrying a chrome plated weapon.
There were three people inside the business at the time of the robbery.
