Darryl Grant Beaton, a resident of Oak Ridge, Tenn., died Dec. 2. He was 49. Services were Dec. 6, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge. Graveside services were Dec. 7, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Leisa Atwill Beaton; three children, Bobby Beaton of Knoxville, Tenn., Brian Beaton of Oak Ridge, and Emily Beaton of Oak Ridge; his mother, Pauline Beaton of Big Sandy, Tenn.; and his mother-in-law, Nancy Atwill of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Beaton.
Born in Paris, Tenn., he graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1978. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1983 with a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville and was employed as a Project Manager for Alstom Power, Inc.
