Approximately 75 people gathered in Parish Hall, of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton for the seventh annual Twin Cities Interfaith Thanksgiving Day Meal, Nov. 26. With 200 deliveries made, and 140 take-outs, over 400 people were fed, significantly shy of the 600 people for which the organization prepared, according to chairperson, Gary Jez.
After hearing of food pantries being low, we were prepared to feed 600 people. Our expectations were not met in that area, Jez said.
Last year a total of 450 people were fed, with 120 meals picked up, and 220 meals were delivered. The number of people fed this year, was down by about 70, compared to last year. However, Jez said everything worked out great.
I felt like we were not abused on deliveries, and all of those received, were in need, Jez said.
The traditional turkey meal was served from 12 noon-2 p.m. Meals were picked up between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

e entertainment, as was last year, those who attended enjoyed watching the parade and football games aired on the big screen television. Wal-Mart was the largest contributor, with a $2000 donation. Banks donated $50 each, with donations received as well from churches and individuals. Donations totaled $2700.
Leftover food was donated to various organizations.
Unused funds were donated to the Twin Cities Mens Organization (TCMO), for the Christmas program to clothe children.
