Virginia Holman Holland, a resident of Fulton, died Nov. 9, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton. She was 85.

Services were Nov. 12 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Fulton. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one sister, Martha Dement of Normandy, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe E. Holland; her parents, Ora Lee Alexander and Samuel W. Holman; and one brother, Rodney Holman.

She was born July 17, 1924 in Obion County, Tenn. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Fulton and very active in their CWF program. She had been a secretary for the former Swift Ice Cream company. She was a member of the Marshall Alexander Post #72 and was very active in the Banana Festival Cook Offs. She had lived in this area all of her life.
