Raymond Cleo Anderson, a resident of Water Valley, died Nov. 10, at Van Ayer Manor in Martin, Tenn. He was 94.

Services were Nov. 13, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Graveside services were Nov. 14, at the Waverly Hall City Cemetery in Waverly Hall, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Govie McClure Anderson of Water Valley; three sons, Raymond C. Anderson Jr. and Steven A. Anderson of Valdosta, Ga., and James E. Falls of Tifton, Ga.; six daughters, Elizabeth A. Wade of Columbus, Ga., Susan G. Peacock of Fortson, Ga., Karen D. Wright of Palm Bay, Fla., Debra K. Rollins of Valdosta, Donna J. Bellew of Clinton, and Jeri Hayes of Martin, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; two stepsons; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez Madelyn Ford Anderson; his parents, Ollie Alderdice Anderson and Moses Claude Anderson; a daughter, Linda S. Anderson; and five brothers, James Anderson, M.C. Anderson, Delbert Anderson, Halbert Anderson, Wayne Anderson; and a sister, Dorothy Minerch. Born Jan. 17, 1915 in Dukedom, he was a member of Waverly Hall Baptist Church in Waverly Hall, Ga., and he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired motor pool sergeant and had lived in this area most of his life.
