Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce recently launched a “Yard of the Season” campaign, to encourage area residents to spruce up lawns with seasonal decor. Five homes were nominated by the Chamber, and over 500 online votes were cast, according to Tim Britt, Chamber President. Pictured with Britt, and Chamber Executive Director Thea Vowell, are Pete and Penny Morgan, winners for Fall Yard of the Season. A gift basket, provided by Cissy’s of Fulton, was presented to the Morgans. The next competition, to begin with nominations starting in December, will be for Winter Yard of the Season, customarily a Christmas theme. The same process will be used for online voting.
