Richard D. Wilkerson, of South Fulton, and formerly of Hickman, died Oct. 27, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. He was 75.
Services were Oct. 30 at the West Hickman Baptist Church, with Rev. Jason Sipes and Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial was in Hickman City Cemetery. Strong Funeral Home of Hickman was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Wilkerson of South Fulton; three daughters, Andrea Leigh Johnson, Racine, Wis., Amy Don Myers of Kevil, and Allison Faye McMinn of Martin, Tenn.; two brothers, Billy Lloyd Wilkerson of Hickman and Gary Joe Wilkerson of Fulton; two sisters, Dot McKinnis of Hickman and Peggy Haney of South Fulton; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Vassie Wilkerson; two brothers, Howard Wilkerson and Baker Wilkerson; and four sisters, Juanita Whitten, Laverne Grissom, Ruth King and Donna Lattus.
He was born June 19, 1934 in Hickman. He was a Deacon at West Baptist Church and was retired from Fulton County Schools for 37 years.
