Denise Bowers of Gates, Tenn., died Oct. 27, at her residence. She was 84.
Services were Oct. 31 at St. Luke M.B. Church in Ripley, Tenn., with Rev. Val Powe officiating. Burial was in St. Luke M.B. Church Cemetery in Ripley, Tenn. Thompsons Mortuary in Ripley, Tenn., was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include eight daughters, Anna Barnes of Chicago, Ill., Cecilia Bowers, Estelle Bradford, Denice Bowers, Carolyn Bowers, all of Gates, Tenn., Ollie Faye Jones of Ripley, Tenn., Willie Curry of Bloomington, Tenn., and Amy R. Jones of Cordova, Tenn.; three sons, Johnny C. Bowers of Gates, Tenn., Rickey Bowers of Ripley, Tenn., John M. Bowers Jr., of Atoka, Tenn.; one sister, Faye Scott of Centralia, Ill.; three brothers, Al Frank Flagg of Centralia, Ill., George Flagg of Pontiac, Mich., and Jim Flagg of Centralia, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
