William Bill Stubblefield, a resident of South Fulton, died Oct. 10, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. He was 78.
Funeral Services were Oct. 13 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, with Rev. James Kinsey and Rev. Ron Cox officiating. Masonic services were held Oct. 12 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City, Tenn. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Beatrice Bea Hazlewood Stubblefield of South Fulton; two sons, William Scott Stubblefield of Nashville, Tenn., and Howard Kelly Stubblefield of South Fulton; one godchild, Jaclyn Totty; six grandchildren; two sisters, Margorie Flowers of Lake Station, Ind. and Mildred Weaver of Orlando, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mina Dale Arrington and Herman Austin Stubblefield; one brother and two sisters.
He was born, June 30, 1931 in Obion County, Tenn. He was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church and had retired in 1994 from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of the Roberts Masonic Lodge and the Rizpah Shriners. He had lived in this area all of his life.
