A South Fulton man is dead following a hit and run May 16 on Harris Road in South Fulton. George T. Dysart, 50, was pronounced dead at Parkway Regional Hospital, Fulton, after he was struck by an unknown vehicle while riding his bicycle sometime between the hours of 9:30 and 10 p.m. The call came in to the police department from a resident of the area, stating a man was laying on the side of the road unresponsive. The hit and run occurred on Harris Road, alongside the old South Fulton football stadium, now used for the youth football league. According to South Fulton Police Chief Andy Crocker, Dysart, who was riding south at the time, lived only a short distance from the location at which he was struck. Sgt. Rodney Mitchell with the SFPD was the responding officer.
