A South Fulton woman was arrested Jan. 13, and charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. According to a report by the Union City, Tenn. Police Department, Libby Toon Foster was arrested after officers were dispatched to Kizer Pharmacy in Union City, in reference to a forged prescription being passed. When officers arrived, Foster was obtaining a prescription for 500 mg Lortab 10. Officer Brandon Adams spoke with Jason Kizer, owner/operator of the pharmacy, who said his office had been contacted by the Gray Clinic in Kenton, Tenn. Jan Sims, a nurse practitioner at the clinic, told Officer Adams she was missing a prescription pad, and suspected Foster of taking it. Foster obtained two separate prescriptions, one for 60 pills, and the other for 30 pills, which were both written on Dec. 5. Sims told the officer the prescription for 30 pills was correct, but the one for 60 was forged. Sims agreed to appear in court. Foster was taken into custody and made no statement.
