The Dallas Brass Education Foundation, Inc. has selected Gene C. Wenner,president of Arts & Education Consultants to be part-time executive director for this national non-profit based in Garland, Texas. The mission of the Dallas Brass Education Foundation is to inspire students of all ages and their families to embrace music a lifelong pursuit through entertaining and educational concert programs at which school bands get to participate. Clinics for school students are also provided as part of the Music In The Schools project.

Every season, the Dallas Brass present more than 100 concerts throughout the United States, reaching more than 80,000 people of all ages. Through its workshops and inviting band students to perform on stage with the ensemble, the Dallas Brass reaches more than 30,000 young people annually by their live music. They encourage students to continue to participate in music in their local community music organizations, as well as to possibly pursue a career in music.
