In addition to its dedicated core of Norwegian artists, top international artists have traveled to Risør to participate every summer throughout the history of the festival. The festivals repertoire covers a broad range of music from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, with a focus on Norwegian and contemporary music. Musicians stay in the tiny village of Risør throughout the festival week, creating a special atmosphere for musicians and audiences alike.
