In 2003, after retiring from my trumpet manufacturing business, I began a new challenge: to uncover the hidden secrets of the greatest vintage horns. This was a very exciting 5 year project - buying, testing, tearing apart, and analyzing 75 of finest trumpets ever made. Gradually, I began to fully understand the intricate details that distinguished the few truly superior trumpets. The result – the Callet SIMA.
