Program Review “The Wonder of Human Potential” Col. Edward Hubbard Exchange members were pumped and ready to overcome all obstacles after internationally known motivational speaker Col. Edward Hubbard delivered a positive message for personal growth. Col. Hubbard spent nearly seven years in captivity in North Vietnam as a prisoner of war. After being shot down in his Air Force fighter plane, Col. Hubbard was forced into a situation that forever changed his life, and as a result, the lives of thousands of others he has come in contact with. “I haven’t had a bad day in 36 years,” Col Hubbard told Exchange members. “You have to look for the rays of sunshine in life. I celebrate life and focus on what I accomplish. The rest is insignificant.” Col. Hubbard also challenged club members to utilize teamwork to make gains. He led the group in singing “God Bless America” before giving a final salute good-bye to Walla Walla.
