Happy Trails Benefit Ride
Jerry Failing of thhe Northwest Quarter Horse Association, came to talk with Exchange Club about an event coming up this weekend, May 17-19, at the Hair Ranch at Clyde, Wash. There’s a benefit ride, auction, dinner and dancing on Saturday, May 18. The NWQHA raises money for various causes through their clubs and community involvement. Family Members Can Join Exchange During May and June and Save the $10 Joining Fee!
National President Ken Roberts has announced the Join The Family program, a special effort designed to encourage family members to join Exchange Clubs. For the months of May and June, The National Exchange Club will waive the $10 administrative fee for new members who join their spouse’s or family member’s Exchange Club. Clubs can pass along this savings to the new member.
“President George Bush has called on Americans to commit at least two years to the service of our neighbors and our nation,” said President Roberts. “This is our way to demonstrate our support and encourage participation in the President’s call to action.”
Since January, members have been joining Exchange Clubs in record numbers. During the month of March, Exchange experienced a net growth of 306 new members. This is the highest monthly gain in more than 10 years.
“Exchangites value the beliefs, ideals and traditions upon which our country was built,” said President Roberts. “The Join the Family program encourages all members to share our great organization with their family members.”
The offer ends June 30, 2002, so ask a family member to join today.

Two quotes of the Week
“You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.”
-Beverly Sills

“It is said an eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him with the words, ‘And this, too, shall pass away.’ How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!
-Abraham Lincoln
