Agricultural Issues Team
The Walla Walla FFA Agriculture Issues Team presented their take on the Murr vs. Exclusive Agriculture Zone proponents issue. They began work and research on the issue last October, and provided a professional, informative and entertaining presentation that will surely bring a top award at the state contest in May. Under the direction of advisor Arch McHie, the seven sophomore team members are Danielle Gray, Mitch Frazier, Kyle Williams, Bonnie Williams, Kelsay Pease, Kristin Collins, and Melissa Bughi.

OUCH!
We got buried by Rotary on the “Second Annual Get the Goods Food Drive.” Rotary brought in 3,159 pounds to our 1,662 pounds. Dale offered a free lunch for any member willing to go to the Rotary meeting and accept our award. There were no takers. Thanks to all who donated food and money to this worthy event - the Food Bank came away with an extra 4,821 pounds they otherwise would not have had!
Proudly We Hail
Roger Kincaid accepted the award for regularly flying the American Flag at Inland Printing. He noted that since 9/11 pride has been cross-generational-as noted by the age of horn honkers applauding his efforts.
Thanks to Kay Hicks for presenting the award. Kay reminded us that we are all committee members for this award-please pass on to Kay the name or address of anyone you notice who regularly flies the American flag.
Quote of the Week
“No one has yet realized the wealth of sympathy, the kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure.”
-Emma Goldman
