Program
Cindy Williams presented the new Web site for the Walla Walla Exchange Club, available at www.wwexchangeclub.org. The site resulted from a collaboration between the Walla Walla Exchange Club and a local Web company, mywebpal.com. When the board of Exchange was considering options for hosting an Exchange Club site, Jeffrey Townsend suggested a partnership with mywebpal.com as a way to get our information to members, along with local weather, stock reports, etc., which is what mywebpal.com offers through their template Web system. Cindy has been heading up this project during her tenure as board member, and will pass the responsibility for the Web site on to Lenel Parish when she takes over the postion in July. Please check out www.wwexchangeclub.org and give your feedback to any board member.

Announcements
Monday meeting speakers: April 1: Mandy Church, talking about the National Marrow Donor Program: Every year more than 30,000 people from all races, ethnic communities and socio-economic backgrounds are diagnosed with life threatening blood diseases, such as leukemia, and inherited diseases. Many could be cured with a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant, but they need matching donors. Around 30% will find a match within their family. The remaining 70% will need to search for an unrelated donor. The National Marrow Donor Program matches unrelated donors and patients on the basis of tissue type, an inherited characteristic much like hair or eye color. April 8: Ducky Derby kick-off with Kathy Covey.

Third reading of new officers: Linda Emmerson, immediate past-president, read the slate of new officers for the 2002-2003 year: Treasurer: Mike Dandrea Secretary: Ed George Vice President: Kathy Small President-Elect: Sloan Kimball President: Lyle Hansen Dale also announced the new directors, who will serve a two-year term (2002-2004): Janis Barton, Karen Wolf and Lenel Parish.
