For those papers selling banner ads on their site, it’s important to be able to provide positive feedback to your advertisers. Remember, many of your advertisers who agreed to purchase an online ad may not be visiting your site regularly, so it’s important to get them trained to do so, as well as to provide information about others who are seeing their ad on your site.

One tool for providing feedback, at least in terms of numbers of visitors and their online reading habits, is the Ad Traffic Report. Advertising Traffic Reports can be found on the Newspaper Admin Site, by accessing “Advertising” on the navigation bar and then selecting “Reports.”

Reports can be printed to reflect a period of time up to three months in the past, and can also be tightly targeted depending on your needs. The report defaults to a complete list of all advertisers and their corresponding ‘views’ and ‘click throughs,’ or an individual advertiser can be selected and printed seperately.

This information and the insight that you can provide to your advertiser about online readers will be valuable to your advertiser and will make renewals easier.

Good Selling!
