Annual golf event draws more than 100 golfers

The annual Chamber of Commerce membership golf outing was held yesterday under bright, sunshiny skies. A little over 100 golfers participated in the tournament, geared more toward fun than golf. In fact, a rule established years ago assesses a two-stroke penalty against any team that takes the game too seriously for the event. CARDWELL — The Southland C-9 Board of Education heard about Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) in their regular meeting on Thursday, September 11, at the Southland Library/Media Center.
