Kenneth Dale Melton

Kenneth Dale Melton, son of the late Cecil Burian and Mary R. Romines Melton was born in Senath on April 7, 1938, and passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., on Aug. 29, 2003, at the age of 65. Mr. Melton was a former resident of Southeast Missouri and had lived in Cheyneyville, La., for many years. He was a sugar cane farmer and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma. Mr. Melton is survived by one daughter, Kenna Jo Melton of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Kelly Melton of Memphis, Tenn., and Kevin Melton of Alexandria, La.; and two sisters, Mary Lynn Ford of Parma and Susan Kay Rackley of Gideon. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma. Graveside services were held in the Senath Cemetery following visitation, with Rev. John Girdley officiating. Interment followed in the Senath Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of all arrangements.
