Are you monitoring what your kids watch on TV? A new study suggests a link between teenage promiscuity and the television shows they watch.

Researchers at the Rand Corporation have found those who watch a lot of TV with sexual content were about twice as likely to be promiscuous during the subsequent year as those with little exposure to indecent TV.

A scientist with Rand says TV shows rarely deal with the negative results of promiscuity.

A spokesman for Viacom, a producer of TV shows, says TV is just "one of many factors that influence young people's lives."
