| | Evangelism Prohibited At The Olympics | | 08/12/04 Email this story to a friend Christian ministries at the Olympic games in Athens plan to focus on hospitality, service and entertainment. But not much on evangelism. That's because it's technically illegal to proselytize in Greece, even though the country is part of the European Union, where religious liberty is supposed to be guaranteed.
A number of ministries are hosting an entertainment festival in downtown Athens this Saturday. It's called, "A Tribute To The Unknown God" featuring the Christian rock band Delirious.
The festival's title is taken from the first presentation of the Gospel in Athens by the apostle Paul. | | |
