SC Democrats In Boston For Convention

If you see the South Carolina delegation on TV this week during the Democratic National Convention in Boston, they may look a little young. That's because about 21% of the 55 delegates are in their 20's and 30's. State Democratic leaders have pushed for the so-called Gen X'ers to become Democrats.

Meanwhile, one of South Carolina's top Democrats will barely show her face in Boston. U.S. Senate candidate Inez Tenenbaum will spend most of this week with voters in the Palmetto State. The campaign of her rival, Republican Jim Demint, says Tenenbaum is trying to distance herself from the national party because many of its positions don't go over well in South Carolina.
