A new translation of the bible turns Paul's epistles into e-mails and calls the church "The Jesus Liberation Movement." It's British Actor Rob Lacy's abridged street-talk bible called, "The Word On The Street."
Lacy is performing excerpts from "The Word On The Street" at Christian music festivals around the U.S. this summer.
In one of the Gospels, Lacy has Jesus asking, "What's the point in taking over the world if your soul goes straight out the window in the process? What's the going price for a soul these days?"
Lacy also summarizes the Bible in two minutes for those who've never read it.
Christian book seller Zondervan will release a U.S. version of "The Word On The Street," including a CD in September.
