Being a widow can get really lonely. Just ask Vonette Bright. It's been one year since her husband, Campus Crusade For Christ founder Bill Bright, died at age 81.

Mrs. Bright still grieves and misses him, but also rejoices that he's in heaven now with Jesus. She recalls being alone one Sunday and crying out to God that widowhood is "The pits!" But Bright says she then noticed the beauty around her and felt the assurance of God's care for her.

Vonette Bright also has love lavished on her by her children and grandchildren, as well as the staff of Campus Crusade. She says she wants to keep serving God until she joins her husband in Heaven.
