| | Tattoo Bill Passes Legislature | | 05/21/04 Email this story to a friend It looks like tattooing will soon be legal in South Carolina. Governor Mark Sanford says he'll sign a bill ending a ban on tattooing as long as it protects public safety. People 18 to 21 would still need to get a parent's permission to get a tattoo. The bill also requires tattoo artists to use disposable needles. It also allows cities and counties to use zoning laws to regulate where tattoo parlors are located. | | |
