That's what Promiseland Church in Austin, Texas calls its live depictions of suicide, abortion, drug abuse, a drunk driving crash, a school shooting, and a meeting with the devil himself, followed by a Gospel presentation. The Reverend Ricky Poe, Promiseland's youth pastor, says more than one thousand people have paid more than ten dollars each to visit "Virtual Hell" this Halloween season, and hundreds have prayed the Sinner's Prayer. Poe says, "It's giving the fright as well as the truth." A Columbia area church is also offering an alternative Halloween presentation. On November 2-4, Steadman Baptist Church will present one hour tours of "Judgment House" from 5 till 10 Saturday evenings, 5 till 9 Sunday evenings, and 6 till 9 Monday evenings. Judgment House is an eight scene walk-through drama, depicting stories of people whose lives have been cut short by tradgedy and their dramatic experiences beyond the grave. | | |
