Appel Farm offers an overnight program for ages 9 thru 17 in rural Salem County. Campers pick a major and two minors from a wide range of arts offerings. Sports, concerts and field trips round out the program. From June 25 thru Aug 19. 856-358-2472 x107
Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown provides two-week sessions for ages 6 thru 13. This years theme focuses on nature. Campers take workshops on multiple visual and performing art forms, culminating in a performance. From June 26 thru Aug 18. 856-235-6488
Creative Genius, a Medford gallery and studio, will offer four five-day sessions, each focusing on a different art form: pottery (July 10 thru 14), book-making (Aug 14 thru 18), art as fashion and decor (July 24 thru 28), and teen jewelry-making (Aug 21 thru 25). Hours are 10a to 12n. 609-714-1131
The Haddonfield Symphony offers a program for students in grades 6 - 12 who are studying woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. The program provides private lessons from symphony musicians and side-by-side rehearsals with instructors, concluding with a symphony concert. The session takes place in August at Rutgers-Camdens fine arts complex. 856-429-1880
Parsons Center for the Arts in Merchantville offers one-week camps for ages 6 - 14, from 10:30a to 12:30p and 1:30 to 3:30p. Each session focuses on a particular art form, including painting and drawing, beginner guitar, pottery, and sculpture. Sessions start June 26 and end July 28. 856-904-1971
Jubili Beads & Yarns, a Collingswood shop and studio, holds craft camps for ages 7 - 13. Sessions range from single classes to the full eight-week program. Kids can make such items as mobiles, jewelry, needlepoint bookmarks, beaded windsocks, a photo album and more.
