Pasco County offers its residents and visitors a rich diversity of leisure activities, from the magnificent gulf coast to the picturesque historic Dade City. The county boasts of thousands of acres set aside for parks and recreation, including gulf front beaches, lakes and rivers, wilderness parks, athletic fields and recreation complexes.

There are more than 20 miles of magnificent gulf coast waters along Pasco's borders, which offers brilliant sunsets for scuba divers, fishermen, boaters and beach lovers.

Pasco's wilderness parks offer the perfect getaway for nature lovers. Set amidst thousands of acres throughout the county, visitors can hike or camp at the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park. If relaxation is in the plans, visitors can relax for the day while fishing from the pier at Anclote Gulf Park or share the adventure of a leisurely canoe trip at Crystal Springs State Park.

Sports enthusiasts can play golf or tennis at the Saddlebrook Resort or choose from the many courses and courts located throughout the county. The adventuresome vacationer can even enjoy the thrill of skydiving over the flatlands of Zephyrhills.

Fishermen can indulge in both inshore and offshore fishing from Pasco's warm gulf coast waters. Artificial reefs provide a haven for fish and cement culverts act as ledges for the wide variety of fish, which are plentiful throughout the year.

Boaters will be pleased to find a variety of marinas and boat ramps. Facilities offering wet slips, high and dry dockage, gasoline, bait and tackle are located along Pasco's gulf coast and rivers.

Pasco's three beaches are the ideal place for a day of picnicking, swimming or sunning on the sand. With the warm ocean breezes and water temperatures averaging 80 degrees during the spring and summer months, Pasco County is a perfect getaway to refresh your soul.

And, visitors who enjoy the charm of pioneer Florida will find their niche in Dade City. There's an array of the finest antique shops, unique gift shops and first-class restaurants, may of which are housed in buildings dating back to the turn of the century.
