Wildwood

A Small City With A Bright Future

11/18/99
James L. Stevens, City Manager
Email this story to a friend

The City of Wildwood is centrally located on or close to more major transportation corridors than any other city in the State of Florida (Florida Turnpike; I-75; US301; CSX Railway; US441/27). With the reconstruction and four-laning of State Road 44 from east to west coast, the City will now have the only missing link in its accessibility grid. Wildwood will become a major warehousing, distribution and business center in the future, as there will be no better place to centrally locate a business or industry to serve the whole sate of Florida. With that industrial growth will come better employment opportunities and residential development. City leaders have known this for some time and have worked diligently to upgrade public service such as water and wastewater availability so that we will be able to serve whatever comes our way.

Economic development keeps our City taxes and rates low in addition to providing good career employment opportunities for our children.
