A Rome man was arrested Saturday afternoon after police said he was trespassing on state property and had suspected drugs in his possession.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Mark Anthony Rhineheart, 45, of 837 Woods Road, was arrested by Floyd County police around 2 p.m. at a property on Rutledge Drive. He was charged with criminal trespass, possession of marijuana-less than an ounce and felony possession of methamphetamine after police said he was found on the government property without permission, attempting to remove metal piping from the ground, and having the suspected drugs on his person.

He remained in jail late Saturday on $2,700 bail.
