A man was arrested early Saturday morning on warrants accusing him of assaulting a woman during an altercation last week.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Fredric Quinell Caldwell, 24, of 4542 Alabama Highway and also of an Atlanta address, was arrested around midnight by Floyd County police. He was charged with stalking, felony aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, simple battery, cruelty to children and obstruction of an emergency phone call.
Warrants stated that during a dispute on March 31, Caldwell assaulted a woman in front of several small children.
He also allegedly smashed both a home phone and a cell phone when the victim tried to call for help.
Caldwell is also charged with making harassing phone calls and theft by taking, and he remains in jail on $5,400 bail.
