Larry and Margaret Parker of Summerville announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Leanne Parker to Josh Randall Coggins, son of Randy and Jovita Coggins of Canton. Miss Parker is a 1998 graduate of Trion High School and a 2002 graduate of Reinhardt College with a bachelor’s degree in business. She is employed as a manager with Longhorn Steakhouse in Cumming. Amanda and Josh also own and operate Elite Pool and Spa Service in Canton. The bride-elect is the sister of Beth Parker of Rome. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Jane Massey and the late Robert and Lillian Parker. Coggins is a graduate of Woodstock High School and a graduate of Georgia Highlands College with an associate degree in business. He also attended Kennesaw State University. The groom-elect is the brother of Brandy Coggins. He is the grandson of Ralph and Mary Ruth Coggins of Canton and Lynn and Patricia Hanks of Dawsonville. The private wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Historic Tate House in Tate. A reception will follow. Invitations will be sent.
