  • The Mom’s Group events for March are as follows: Today from 10 a.m. to noon will be an organizing and tip sharing play day at Oak Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center, 997 Brownlee Mountain Road, Adairsville. At 6:30 p.m. is Mom’s Night Out with a movie and snack at Amy’s house. March 20 from 10 a.m. to noon will be a play day at Erin’s house.   • The Rome Area History Museum, 305 Broad St., is offering free admission days as follows every month: First Fridays – college students and staff with ID; Second Wednesdays – free admission with past week’s church bulletin; Second Thursdays – Senior Citizen Day for anyone 60 or older; Third Wednesdays – residents of an assisted living or retirement home.   • The First Friday Dance will be held today from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Senior Adult Recreation Center located at 1325 Kingston Road. Admission is $5. For more information call 770-684-4661.
  • The Lyerly Civic Club Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be today from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lyerly Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (map). Cost is $7 for spaghetti, meat sauce, salad, bread and dessert. Beverage is provided for those eating in. Advanced tickets may be purchased from Lyerly Civic Club members.   • A Wild Game Supper will be today at 7 p.m. at the Armuchee Baptist Church Christian Life Center at 6648 Big Texas Valley Road. The inspirational speaker will be Rocky McElveen. The cost is a $10 donation. For more information or reservations call Glenn Clonts at 706-766-3018.
  • Reserve a table by today for the Indoor Yard Sale at the Gilbreath Recreation Center in Lindale (map) to be March 14 from 7 a.m. to noon. Sellers can purchase a table for $10 or two for $15 and set up March 13. Proceeds from the table fees will support recreation center programming.   • Sleep Diagnostics will host an expo about sleep awareness today from 9 am. to noon at the Senior Adult Recreation Center, 1325 Kingston Road. The focus will be on raising the awareness of sleep disorders and the disease processes associated with these conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease and high blood pressure.
