BETTY AND JACK MOORE |
Jack and Betty Moore of Rockmart recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The two were married on Feb. 19, 1949, in Buchanan by the Justice of the Peace. The couple first met through mutual friends. They resided in Rome for 21 years before moving to Cedar Bluff, Ala., and then to Rockmart. Mrs. Moore is the former Betty Jenkins. She is a native of Antioch. She worked at West Point Pepperell for 20 years. Her husband is a native of Cedartown. He retired from West Point Pepperell after 30 years of service. They have three children, Fay Weatherby of Rome, Mike Moore and Tommy Moore, both of Rockmart. They have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
