An Alabama man was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with forging a check to purchase items in Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Bobby Joe Bramblett, 44, of 1985 County Road 97 in Gaylesville, Ala., was arrested by Floyd County deputies around 3 p.m. He was charged with felony forgery in the first degree and felony theft by deception.
Warrants stated that Bramblett altered and possessed a check that was not his with the intent to defraud, and he used the check to unlawfully purchase items valued at $329.
He was released from jail Wednesday night on $4,950 bail.
