Abigail Leigh Readdick and Pfc. William Aaron were married at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec.6, 2008, at West Rome Christian Church in Rome. The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Charity Nicholson of Lyerly and the late Jeff Readdick. She is the granddaughter of Patricia Gilchrist of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. William Gilchrist of San Diego, Calif., Martha Readdick of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Harry Readdick. The groom is the son of Marshelle Cabe of Dalton and Rodney Aaron of Rome. He is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. William Wheat of Cohutta and Linda Aaron of Hixson, Tenn. The Rev. Phil Blanton of Rome performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with holiday greenery and a unity candle. The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by Wayne Nicholson, wore a floor-length empire waist gown. The bride carried a bouquet of red roses. Stacey Nicholson, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor. She wore a strapless red gown and carried a bouquet of white roses. The father of the groom was the best man. The groom, who has just completed training for the Army reserves, wore his dress blue uniform. After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Rome.
