3 charged with shoplifting

Two Polk County men were arrested Sunday on charges of stealing DVDs from the Kmart Super Center, reports stated.

A Rome man also was charged with shoplifting in a separate incident.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Devin Darrell Jones, 18, of 336 Jones Washington Road in Aragon, and Michael Edward Ledbetter, 18, of 520 Williamson Street in Rockmart, were each charged with shoplifting.

Jones is accused of leaving the K-mart Super Center on Hicks Drive without paying for a DVD, digital camera and T-shirt, with a total value of $57.97. Ledbetter left without paying for a DVD, valued at $20, records state.

Both remained in jail as of late Sunday night, with bail set at $1,350 apiece.

Also, Joshua Davy Wright, 17, of 9 Clervue Circle in Rome, was charged with shoplifting in a separate incident.

Wright was in jail Sunday night pending $2,860 bail.
