Early voting started Wednesday for runoff elections in the U.S. Senate, Public Service Commission and Georgia Court of Appeals races.
Anyone registered to vote by the Oct. 6 deadline can vote in the runoff even if they didnt vote in the general election.
Elections Supervisor Evon Billups said absentee ballots by mail can be requested through Nov. 26 and must be returned by the time polls close at 7 p.m. Dec. 2. A photo ID is not required when voting by mail.
In-person early voting for those who wont be in their precincts on election day will run through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the County Administration Building, 12 E. Fourth Ave.
The advance voting period open to all eligible voters will be Nov. 24-26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at two locations: the County Administration Building and the Rome Civic Center on Jackson Hill.
All precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 2.
On the ballot is a runoff between Senatorial candidates Republican Saxby Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin, as well as Public Service Commission contenders Democrat Jim Powell and Republican Lauren W. McDonald Jr. and nonpartisan Court of Appeals candidates Sara Doyle and Mike Sheffield.
