Oct. 16 and 18: A Night at the Opry II, Country Classics and “Always, Patsy Cline” — Paul Puckett and Friends will perform country classics, followed by Sherry Childs and Mandy Maloney starring in “Always, Patsy Cline,” a hilarious look at one of country music’s greatest singers. Oct. 18: 28th Annual John Wisdom Wagon Train and Trail Ride — Ridge Ferry Park, Riverside Parkway, 8:30 a.m. wagon train departs to Shannon and returns to Rome with a parade on Broad Street at 5 p.m. cost is $5. Western dance to follow at 8 p.m. at Ridge Ferry Park for separate admission price.

Oct. 18: Myrtle Hill Cemetery Tours — Tours depart from Main Gate on Myrtle Street at 10 a.m.; 10:30 a.m.; 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Cost: Adults $8, children under 12, $5. Enjoy a tour of Rome’s history, bring comfortable shoes and water, moderate to strenuous exercise with steps and slope.

Oct. 18: Haunted on Broad — Downtown Rome at dusk takes on a spooky air with Seven Hills Tellers giving tours and telling tales. Tickets available at Rome Visitor Center, times and location to be determined. Call 706-295-5576 for more information.

Oct. 21: Genealogy on the Internet — Hop onto the Internet and find your virtual roots. Free admission. Rome-Floyd County Library, Internet Resource Lab, 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 25: Hallowed Hauntings — The Seven Hills Tellers tell tales of terror at Chieftain’s Museum, 501 Riverside Parkway, 7 p.m. Cost: Adults, $3, children under 12, $2.

Oct. 31: Trick or Treat on Broad Street — Bring the little ones to trick or treat area businesses in Downtown Rome from 2 to 6 p.m.

Oct. 31: Night at the Museum — Children ages 9 – 12 can spend a night at the history museum at 305 Broad St. $75 per child.
