A shotgun shell cartridge or debris from a projectile striking a vehicle may be to blame for a chipped windshield on a Ford pickup truck on Saturday, the Bartow County Sheriff's Office reported today.
A man driving north on Cassville Road told a sheriff's investigator that one car was closely following another southbound and then passed it. At that point, he said he heard a bang and something struck his windshield.
The officer said he found that the windshield was chipped and there were several small chips on the paint on the driver's side door.
No injuries were reported.
