The Rome City Commission has a light agenda on Monday, but officials are expected to block out more time on Tuesday night for a public meeting on plans for the Coosa River basin and Lake Allatoona.
The board caucuses at 5 p.m. with its regular meeting following at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall, 601 Broad St.
Mayor Wright Bagby Jr. already has alerted commissioners to the importance of attending the Tuesday water meeting hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The open house-style event from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Forum is aimed at gathering public input on the Corps planned update to the water control manual governing the Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa river basin.
